Byline: Chicago Rookery Building Lobby - 2010 by Joe Lekas

Caption: The Chicago Rookery Building was finished in 1888 by John Wellborn Root and Daniel Burnham. It is the oldest still-standing skyscraper in Chicago. Up top, it is rumored, is a beautiful glass encased area that served as the offices for the architects. This lobby was re-done by Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 1900's. The Rookery is now a national historic landmark. This is another stitch to expand the view upward slightly to show the ceiling as more prominent.

Caption: There have been some outstanding photos of this place from my friends over the past year. It is a place I wanted to visit but never seemed to get to, after seeing some outstanding shots from some fellow photogs from last weekend, I decided to make the trip. The sunset wasn't anything to write home about, but that mattered less for the 10stop filter. I find having a copy of Chess on the iPhone useful for these shots, you can usually get a couple of rounds in while waiting for the exposure, I think this was in the 5 minute mark. I tried the Lee BigStopper filter out here finally, I had been waiting for the adapters to arrive to attach the holder to my T/S E. If you're in the market for a 10stop, I recommend the BigStopper over the B&W screw on; there is no color cast with the Lee, finally something that England is better than Germany at! ;-)
