Taken through a cage at Brookfield Zoo, it was difficult to get the detail I wanted, but was able to eliminate most of the unwanted artifacts by use of shallow depth of field.

commented over 1 year agoAs I went back and looked at other photos I took of this eagle I realized that it is blind, or nearly so, in the other eye. Shots with head turned the other way would not look nearly as regal!
