The Carpenters
I took this photo of Karen and Richard Carpenter in concert at Arie Crown Theater in Chicago, circa 1973, prior to Karen's downhill slide and ultimate demise. These were two extremely talented musicians. A sad story of how fame and success can't fix deep personal issues! Entering this one just for fun, so others can share the memories.
This photo and others are available for purchase through my online store. Click the "Act" button on this page to access my galleries. If you can't find what you are looking for, please click the "Contact" tab at the top of any page in my store to reach me.

Joe Lekas
commented over 1 year agoIn my humble opinion, Karen Carpenter actually had about as great (and underated) a singing voice as I have heard; in fact, the only other one who matches or exceeds her was Judy Garland. Thanks for the memory, Paul!
