I think I like this shot the best of everything I've posted here. Unfortunately, I think it comes late enough that it won't be considered for publication. :(
Love the shot too. I was reading how photos are scored in the faqs. A shot uploaded late has the same chance...they have some kind of algorithym from what I read that judges score based on how long it has been up. Dont give up hope just yet.
•We account for the length of time a photo has been eligible for voting. This means photos uploaded today are on the same playing field as photos uploaded eons ago
I dont think it matters how late it is entered. I think it is the ratio of dig its to nix its that causes it to be flaged for the editors to consider, then they make the final decision. But I read you could enter something the last day and still be published. They said the number of comments and love its have no bearing on if it gets published or not.
Hope you're right, John. I've never understood what's going on. I've had the same 5 shots on my home page since that feature showed up. Since then I've gotten something like 60 badges for 100 views while one of those 5 only recently got to 100. Be interesting to see what gets published and compare notes with others.
