A 30 Exposure Impossible View of Wrigley Field - 2010
For those of you around here, you know that to get a view of Wrigley without cars, traffic lights, buildings, etc - you have to be right up at its doorstep. So that's exactly what I did.I shot six vertical shots from left to right to make this. And for each of the six, I shot 5 exposures. After blending each of the vertical shots to maximize dynamic range, I hand stitched the whole thing together. So this one was a lot of work that resulted in a 275mb tiff, that after being cropped is 32 inches by 17 inches at 300dpi. But at least I now have a shot of all of Wrigley Field without distractions!

commented over 1 year agoI thought collages were not allowed? Obviously photoshop work was used to "hand-stiched" this together. Its nice but I don"t think it follows the rules.

commented over 1 year agoIt's a panorama, not a collage. A collage would be random photos slapped on one page. Those player photos were real banners on the stadium. Just stitched together a panorama - no rule breaking here, friend.

commented over 1 year agoJust went up to cast vote and saw more I gotta comment on. The way you captured the motion of all those flags, the amazing lighting across the bottom, and the perfect sky/background ... just gorgeous work. AND THEN I saw "30" ... did you mean "thirty" as in three zero ... that's amazing. I have done as many as 13 exposures and I thought maybe that was a bit overboard. I'd love to see this one in the book Joe, but then I could see every one of your shots I've seen so far in the book.
Joe Lekas
commented over 1 year agoYep yep, 30. When I put my mind to something.....I don't give up. Even if it drives me crazy! Thanks for the compliments! This one was tough!
