commented 4 months agoYesterday, I saw a Red-winged Blackbird at Lake Sedgewick. They normally don't return until March. Trees there, too, are budding out. We sitll have just over SIX WEEKS of astronomical winter, yet! :-)
P.S. The WGN noon weather news just said the winter of 2011-2012 is the SIXTH warmest since 1895 so far.
