The Metro
This photograph of The Metro in Chicago, shows the theater on a rainy fall day. The straight lines of the buildings and Metro sign are complimented by the curve of the bike rack, while the high contrast pulls the black-ice-like sidewalk towards the cumulating clouds.
The Metro moved to this building in 1982 in hopes to bring together local musicians, artists and dancers that were emerging in the city. Since the building has seen the likes of R.EM., New Order, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Jane's Addiction, Bob Dylan, The Flaming Lips, The Foo Fighters and (finally) in 2011, Chicago's own Wilco.
