Dew Kissed
My husband called me on a Saturday morning before work to tell me that our cat Betty had to be put to sleep due to kidney failure. I needed some quiet time before a busy morning, so I went to Busse Woods and saw this flower, which I thought was beautiful. I remember Betty every time I see this shot.

commented almost 2 years agogotta do something you love when bad (or sad) things happen. The day my mom passed,I went out and rode my bicycle hard and fast...so I could feel alive and do thinking at the same time

commented almost 2 years agoThis is very nice. Sorry to hear about Betty. Losing pets is like loosing a kid in many ways. Whoever determined their life span screwed up. This is a great shot. Best one I've ever seen, so much moisture droplets!!! And growing in Busse Woods on top of it. Great find.
Tiffany Whisler
commented almost 2 years agoThanks, Ray. I think you're right - losing a pet IS like losing a kid, and your child should never die before you do. I think that's why it hurts so much to lose a pet. Thnaks for your kind comments about both the picture and about Betty's loss.
