Showcased Challenge
The Color Blue
What better way to see the best blue photos of Chicago than to run a challenge on the color? Chicago photographers responded and submitted more than 600 blue photos to the cause. Sarah Adrian was honored as the People's Choice winner and John Caruso took home the Editors' Choice with his Blue 1902 photo (above).
Blue
Sax player at a fashion show somewhere by North Ave. Actually, he is playing Jazz... I have never seen a saxophone used in playing the Blues. But with blue color lights, it sounds good right? =)

Yellow Leaf Blue Car Rainy Day
I was on a drive through the woods on a wonderfully rainy day when this leaf tumbled onto my car's hood. I had to pull over and make a photo before it blew away. Having the trees reflected was a happy bonus.

Skyscrapers Reflected
small puddles along the lakefront provided for fantastic opportunities for reflection shots, and the ultra wide angle lens only made these small puddles look like they were part of Lake Michigan...

All Major Credit Cards Accepted
I was driving down the street when this fantastically blue building snagged my peripheral vision. I drove another block or so before the reality of it sank in. I instantly turned around, hopped out of my car, and made the exposure. I love the fact that amidst all the hardship, the credit card stickers are still intact in the window. As a side note, I returned to this building a month or two after I made this photo and had a hard time finding it...because they had repainted the building a very pedestrian camel tan. Oh well....

A Foggy Night
Fog crept across the city on May 20, 2011, blanketing most of the city. From 1000 feet up in the Hancock, the view was phenomenal.

Skyline Fog after the Storm
I had set out to take some lightning pictures of a storm approaching the city, but the storm was moving faster than I could make it downtown. So, frustrated and about to give up, I started to see this line of fog after the storm roll through and knew at once I had a new 'subject'.
