The Coolest City on the Lake

It was a perfect time of day and I'll probably never have the same opportunity again, but I got this split-second shot of the city before we flew out over the lake. A nice birds eye view on a cool February morning.

Here's a panorama of 2010's Candlelight Carols at Moody Church on North Clark Street. This is an annual tradition of the Moody Bible Institute. Performances are by the combined music groups of the Institute. In addition to top quality music, the venue is beautiful, making a perfect setting for a Christmas celebration.

    Canglelight Carols 2010

These Christmas concerts by the combined music groups at Moody Bible Institute have been a long-standing tradition. Filled with color, tradition, nostalgia, and a deep sense of awe at the coming of Christ, the sanctuary of The Moody Church (not part of MBI) is the perfect location for this annual celebration. The architecture is spectacular, and strategic use of color and light creates a moving performance.

Taken at historic Moody Church at Moody Bible Institute's Candlelight Carols concert on Dec. 3, 2010. The sanctuary of this church is beautiful. The architecture is stunning, especially when lit for Christmas.

    November in the Windy City

I had business in the Xerox Suite on the 52nd floor of the Aon Building this week. Took my brand new Nikon P7000 with me, straight out of the box, and I'm glad I did. This image consists of two photos stitched together. A large view of the photo will indicate processing to make it look more painterly than photo-realistic. Note the brilliant red trees in Millennium Park.
