Code Red!
Had all these skyscrapers had had their way for one night, they would have certainly dazzled one and all by their glittering dress code. Each one seems to be trying to outdo his/her neighbor with their charm and dazzling personalities. Take Sears/Willis for example, he's been eyeing the gorgeous and ever so graceful Aon for ages now, and in the process making our good old Hancock burn with jealousy. Ha.. Take it easy guys!

Downtown Pirates
These hardened pirates, seemingly lost deep in their thoughts, make a compelling shot, specially on a mesmerizing backdrop of evening Chicago sun, setting behind its domineering and enchanting skyline. It seems as if they are missing the adventures of the deep seas, where they used to ride the monstrous waves with great pride and youthful arrogance. After all, "Pirates are human too."

Concrete Triplets
These Hilton Chicago towers stand tall facing E Balbo Ave, look like 3 Royal Guards standing guard to the Queen's palace. Queen who? Lake Michigan, of course!
-
Jewels Galore
Chicago downtown lights at night make it look like nothing less than a sprawling jewely store. Or better still, a young princess all dressed up in the finest Asian bridal dress, complete with sparkling jewels and emerald beads, stitched together using the finest of threads made of gold. As if she's awaiting her prince, who's returning to a hero's welcome after conquering the world. Priceless!

Artist @ Work
Believe it or not, I took this shot with my Canon 17-40mm wide-angle lens. I literally threw it away for months as I never thought it had come out good as how can a wide angle lens take a macro shot. Finally, one day I was bored and was looking for something to process in LightRoom. I noticed this pic, zoomed in a little and noticed this tiny little master working on a masterpiece. I decided this litle guy commands some respect, and went ahead for some post-processing. To be honest, I was indeed happy with the result. Certainly, if I had a macro lens, we could have caught the artist in more detail. But, so far so good.

Rendezvous
This is the point where Chicago River meets his lady love, Lake Michigan!

Standing Tall
These residential apartments looked majestic, as if facing the fierce Chicago winds head on with gladiator like spirit. Standing right at the point where Chicago river meets Lake 'M', these stalwarts are the most under-shot buildings in Chicago downtown.

Inquisitive Goose
We were out for some quick random shots for the weather was awesome. I ended up spotting a couple of geese, got down on my knees (and chest) and started shooting! I like this shot as it reminds me of the cover of some Disney flick (like Pingu or something)!

Introspective Goose
This one looked a little mature for her age, I shot her in this mood quite a few times for it to qualify as a mere coincidence.

Michigan Lake Lights Up
Our beloved Lake Michigan gives you some amazing colors on a cloudy night, this one has minimal post-processing. This shot was taken from my balcony, with me and my tripod hanging half-way over the balustrade panel. Risky, but worth it!
