My first butterfly of the season 2018
Brown spots don't take away beauty from this flower.
Platter and Petals
I saw this giant leaf at Botanical Garden and I know Michael Aram will use this as inspiration.
Michael Aram is an American born artist who works primarily in metal.
He has always been fascinated with the natural world, and loves the interplay between organic forms combined with the spontaneity inherent in the handmade process. He is highly inspired by his surroundings, and often depicts objects that might otherwise be overlooked by others in his work. Nature is his biggest muse, and his work combines the imperfections inherent in the handmade process with the perfectly imperfect beauty of nature to create objects that reflect humanity.
I love his collection with elements of botanical leaf, anemone and orchids.
The tree is watching you!
This tree bark looks like an eye. Common phenomenon with birch trees.

Azaleas at Botanical Garden
I saw the woman with umbrella on sunny Saturday and immediately my mind drifted away to The Art Institute Of Chicago and the painting A Sunday on La Grande Jatte from 1884. In his best-known and largest painting, Georges Seurat depicted people relaxing in a suburban park on an island in the Seine River called La Grande Jatte.

At Botanical Gardens
Have you ever seen so many azaleas bumming? I never had before, and it was so pretty that I want twice - yesterday and the day before! At the Japanese Garden in the Botanical Gardens in Glencoe, IL.
My adventure with photography began 30 years ago when I arrived to Chicago from Warsaw, Poland.
Initially these were pictures to show the beauty of the city to my family, and soon photography became a hobby for weekends and vacations. Digital photography allowed me to take multiple shots fearlessly with interesting results.
My first contact with Capture My Chicago was in 2009, than in October 2010 I stopped posting the photos and after 6 years I started again in November 2016.
My first name in the translation is Margaret.
