The Long Barn
Finally arriving at our destination - we came across this wonderful barn in route to another barn we planned to photograph. The sky was cloudy gray at this time, only to finally open up little later on a return run to this location. For a great image of this barn under wonderful light, check out Manuel's image at www.flickr.com/photos/myn91/5363926570/

Hiram's Sawmill Reflection
The original was from 1839, This replica mill is located on the Sequoit Creek in Antioch, IL. Hidden away near some busy streets, a reminder of yesterday. I thought it appropriate to render as a B&W given the age of the origianl Mill.

Pioneer Park
Winters last breath of snow, letting us know it's still here. The open water bears the flow of melting snow.

They Might Be Giants
Explored a few areas I've always meant to visit, including this sculpture - Agora. Designed by Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz. The last remants of winter still cover parts of the area surrounding the southern end of Grant Park.

Trumped Towers
A cold day in the city. Fairly quiet on the streets of the loop and the river front.

OpenLands Sunrise
The weekend trip began with a stop at Openlands Preserve to catch the rising sun. The three of us, Mark Baldwin, Jonathan Robson and I made it there just in time to scout a spot and set up. It looked like it was not going to be much of a sunrise, but as always, the Lake surprised us at the last minute.

Escher's View
So many windows, so many stories. This reminded me of an Escher drawing.

Sunrise Chicago2
This is another image from February 19th's sunrise in Chicago. The blizzard now a distant memory, only the large piles of snow survived this weeks rapid thaw.
