Capture My Chicago

  • Waiting For The Train by Russ Williams

    Waiting For The Train

Since we had a long wait for our train, we walked around a bit. These two buildings across the street from Ogilvie had the most amazing light on them, which I have completely failed to capture in spite of 6 bracketed shots. They made a decent HDR shot, I think.

  • Bean by Russ Williams

    Bean

Finally figured out why my HDR was neither 'dynamic' nor 'high'. That's me in the yellow shirt.

  • Bean Pano I by Russ Williams

    Bean Pano I

Sony HX-1 panorama mode. I think my white balance control is goofy....does it look green to you?

  • Crepuscular Rays by Russ Williams

    Crepuscular Rays

Yes, there are such things, and these is them. I couldn't get the HDR software to do anything useful, so I manually merged a good sky with the best shot of the stuff on the ground.

  • Typical McHenry Sunset by Russ Williams

    Typical McHenry Sunset

A pretty commonplace sunset here in McHenry, not at all unusual.

  • Do You Know It, When You See It? by Russ Williams

Do You Know It, When You See It?

I'm not sure if this is "art", or just a badly focused photo of a seagull.....what do you think?

  • Solar Flare by Russ Williams

    Solar Flare

I have more or less not quite captured the sunset, which my eyes told me was rather spectacular.

  • Luna by Russ Williams

    Luna

Is it correct to refer to the moon as "Luna"? Or will the carpet guys come after me? Either way, I'm getting a little better at photographing her.....

  • Art Project by Russ Williams

    Art Project

The Model and her Photographer were rather gracious about letting the rest of us shoot them as they worked on their project. This is one of my first HDR attempts.

  • Bean Pano II by Russ Williams

    Bean Pano II

More panoramic beanage. This one is with the camera tipped to the side for portrait orentation.
