Reptile vs. Raptor

After spotting a hawk in a tree at the Morton Arboretum, I got as close as I could without disturbing it hoping to get some shots. Looking through my lens, I determined that the hawk was watching something in the grass behind me. It then dropped from the tree and glided just above my head. I did not get a good shot of the flight as it caught me completely off guard. I was surprised when I turned around and noticed its prey. This battle lasted for much longer than I expected with the snake completely devouring the hawk...not really.
